Thanks for bringing this to the forefront. While Dawson deserves his day in court to explain himself, I think it will be a daunting task to prove originality, considering some of the lesser used words and phrasing in common with the other authors--despite some of the outlandish suppositions presented in the comments about how this overlap may have happened. The simplest answer, not someone's convoluted intellectual exercise, is how things usually happen.
